FEDINC was contracted by Polk County Sheriffs Department/ Polk County Board of County Commissioners to design and detail a retrofit installation of a screw conveyor/ auger wet weir manhole in the wastewater lines leaving the correctional facility. This conveyor system was designed to remove solid debris from the Polk County South Jail facility wastewater discharge prior to entering the lift station into the county sewer system. FEDINC provided site preparation, surveying engineering and drawing preparations for revision of preliminary design, design entrance road, bin pad and peripheral equipment, submit redesign permit to FDEP for review and approval, prepare bid package and request bids, conduct pre-bid and pre-construction meetings with contractors, conduct periodic inspections for adherence to design and specifications and submit as-built drawing to Polk County and FDEP.
